Founded in 2024, Shenanigans Choir, started with a simple motto: many hands makes light work. Music made with many voices unites communities. Seeing the success of online one day choral performances and knowing there are strong choral programs in western NY we couldn’t help but wonder why Buffalo didn’t have its one day choir . That realization inspired us to make
something truly special—a platform where individuals could come together and enjoy the magic of collective singing.
Taking a note from Jacob Collier, Ben Folds, and Bobby McFarerrin’s crowd work at their concerts we knew that with many voices we can all make powerful music. Buffalo Shenanigans : ‘Three songs, two takes, one day,’ we are committed to exploring, an original, a classic and an improvised piece, to capturing spontaneity of live performances and being mindful of time.
Who is MYQ Farrow?
In Buffalo, singer-songwriter Michael Farrow crafts soulful and reflective music grounded in his personal experiences of living in the US.
Using his experiences as a vocal instructor and performer Michael creates improvised music both solo and in the group setting. Through the use of voice, he delves into the themes of healing, hope, and unity following loss, drawing influence from Buffalo’s vibrant musical heritage. Shenanigans are a part of his Better Days Concert series.
