The Finale

We Need YOUR help!

We need Hosts, Sectional leads, organizers, Child care Providers…

For the event to work, no one person can do everything. We believe in paying for work.

Get in touch with us now to explore where you can help.

The Process

Fill out the form below. Tell us if you need childcare, an ASL interpreter, or help getting there. We have $10 transportation stipends for 30 people. No questions asked.

Get Your Songs

We’ll email you access to three songs. Parts are available online for a full month before the event, on the App ChoirGenius. Search for Buffalo Shenanigans. Practice if you want. Don’t if you don’t. Both are fine.

Optional Rehearsal

We’ll match you with a section leader near you for a one-hour, drop-in rehearsal the week before. For the nervous. Not mandatory. Just helpful.

Show Up Saturday

We start together to the Top’s on Jefferson parking lot. We warmup together. One last song in public. Passersby can join. Neighbors can watch. Then we go home.

The Finale

Merriweather Library. Saturday morning. 4 pm debrief. We start Promptly at 2. Three hours. Two takes of each song. Stay for both or leave after one.

Get Paid To Lead a Sectional Rehearsal

To help grow the community, we need hosts and vocal leaders who will be responsible for a group of singers. It’s a paid position.

Section Leaders

You are not a traditional section leader. You are a neighborhood anchor. A confidence-builder. The person who makes a nervous singer feel like they belong before they ever open their mouth.

We organize section leaders BY LOCATION, not by voice part. You will be assigned a neighborhood of Buffalo. Your job is to know the people who signed up near you, make them feel welcome, and help them walk into Merriweather Library believing they can do this.

What You Will Do

Before the Event:

  • Host ONE optional drop-in neighborhood rehearsal (Host location or home can be provided if you don’t have one) (1 hour)
  • Run through 2 songs in a casual, low-pressure setting
    • Help nervous singers hear their part
Event Day Saturday (3 hours)
  • Arrive 1: 30 PM for briefing with conductor
  • Float with your neighborhood people — not in SATB formation
  • Help late arrivals catch up on Song 2
  • Support anyone struggling with Song 3
  • Guide your group to and from Top’s Parking Lot and the Merriweather Library on Jefferson for the finale takes and a debrief.
  • Sing with your people. This is participation, not performance.
